Sunshine's Friends Cat Rescue and Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt animal welfare organization recognized by the IRS, so your donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
Mini-me (m) - Like many white-on-white cats, he was born deaf. Mini was found as a kitten on the side of a road in the rain, cold and hungry. He compensates for his lack of hearing by touching things. His voice is strange because he can't hear himself and sometimes he cries out for no apparent reason. When he does, his best freind Maggie comes to comfort him.
Tom (m) - He was a very shy, semi-feral cat when he came to us. He is now socialized, loves everybody, and very well adjusted. Tom and 4 other special friends have an incurable virus, but they are living happy and healthy cat lives free of stress that can exacerbate the illness.
Cinder (f) - She has cerebellar hypoplasia, which makes controlling her back legs dfficult. She coulld never hunt mice or escape from predators, but at the sanctuary she thrives and loves to cuddle for hours. She also insists on being in our laps when we type on a computer.
Some of Sunshine's Friends will never be adopted becasue of social or medical issues. We provide the refuge at the sanctuary for the rest of their natural lives. They live in the comfort of a loving home with people who care about them. With good nutrition, medical care, and lots of love, their stories have happy endings.
We have many cats that are living out their lives at the sanctuary. You can sponsor one wth a donation that goes toward the care and feeding of these special animals.
